Working with the emergent properties of paint (Acrylics and Oils). Finding possible landscapes (workshop)

May 11 @ 10:00 AM 4:00 PM BST

Workshop with Jen Gash – a Sky Arts landscape winner (2018).

You will need to bring your own materials. The following are suggested:

A basic range of colours of acrylic paints including white (although Jen will bring some ready mixed paint), dark blue, burnt umber/brown, yellow, red, dark green. You can bring a bigger range if you have them but a large range of colours is not needed.

Small selection of oil paints and some turps (Jen will also bring some).

A ready primed canvas or board, or some thick board that is primed (Jen will bring some spare).

Brushes larger than 1cm. No small/thin or delicate brushes.

Rags – cut up t-shirts are good

Empty tin foil trays or washed up plastic pots for mixing.

It would also be good for people to bring some print out photos of landscapes that inspire them, although it is fine to include architecture and buildings. The aim is to focus on natural landscapes rather than man made elements.

Tea, coffee and biscuits provided but please bring your own lunch.

There is no disabled access to this room.

Anyone participating in Clifton Arts Club activities does so at their own risk. The Club and its members involved in organising such activities do not accept liability for loss or injury suffered by participants.
