We are a society centred on Bristol UK, with over one hundred years of history and a modern open approach to all things ART
We have an active lively programme of workshops, events and lectures where we aim to provide an enriching art environment through community, learning and inspiration.
Whether you’re a member or a visitor we are sure we can inspire you to develop your art to new levels by participating in one of our workshops or events.

We organise a variety of free events for members throughout the year. These include life drawing classes every few weeks, monthly Saturday morning painting sessions during the autumn and winter with a clothed model and a still life, and garden visits in the summer for plein air painting.

We have a regular programme of workshops and demonstrations to inspire and expand your horizons and for you try new techniques and mediums. These are for members only and need to be booked and paid for in advance.

It’s great to meet up and discuss art over a coffee or a glass of wine. We arrange to meet regularly for coffee at a variety of venues in Bristol. We then venture out for some urban sketching, come back after an hour or so to share our work and perhaps stay for lunch. It is a chance to make new friends and learn about the club’s activities.

Our great value membership is only £30 per annum. Extremely good value for a years worth of access to our events across painting sessions, life drawing and En Plein Air sessions.
