28 March 2026 @ 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM GMT
Rosie Harbottle is an artist and designer based on the edge of Dartmoor. Her work celebrates the natural world and the emotion she feels living alongside it.
Join Rosie for a day-long oil pastel workshop designed to spark creativity and build confidence in this expressive medium. Together we’ll explore colour, texture, and composition through playful warm-ups and more developed drawings.
This workshop is perfect for anyone who wants to explore oil pastels in a relaxed and inspiring setting, whether you’re new to the medium or looking to deepen your practice.
What to Bring
Pastels Rosie’s go-to brand of pastels is Sennelier as she loves the creaminess of them and the colour range. I suggest a set like this or this.
Paper – Rosie recommends these pads that come in some lovely tones and are great for quick studies. This paper is good for more ‘finished’ pieces.
Apron or old clothes (oil pastels can get messy!)
Tea and coffee are provided. Please bring your own lunch. There is also The George pub across the road.
Anyone participating in Clifton Arts Club activities does so at their own risk. The Club and its members involved in organising such activities do not accept liability for loss or injury suffered by participants.
