Drawing birds at Slimbridge with Nik Pollard

Join Nik Pollard for a morning drawing from life; ducks, geese, wading birds, herons, flamingoes and much more, at Slimbridge Wetland Centre.
Be inspired by the wetland environment as Nik encourages you, through drawing exercises and expert tuition, to develop your drawing skills in capturing movement and building an understanding of bird anatomy.
LOCATION:
• This one day workshop will be held at Slimbridge Wetlands Centre, Gloucestershire.
FACILITIES:
• The Centre has a cafe and toilets throughout the site.
• Although the workshop is based outside there are plenty of locations where we can shelter from the weather if need be.
DO I NEED TO BE AN EXPERIENCED ARTIST?
• Whether you are a complete beginner or want to improve your skills, you are very
welcome to join us for this exciting workshop.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
• Please bring: – your usual ‘plein air’ art equipment – A5/A4 Sketchbook (or larger if you prefer) – A stool to sit on if you feel you will need one – Binoculars if you have any (these are not a requirement) – Water bottle for refreshment
• Please wear clothes appropriate for making art outdoors (depending on forecast). – Waterproof coat – Sun hat – Warm layer(s)

Please note – the cost of the workshop includes £5 towards the entrance fee at Slimbridge. If you are a member of the WWT we will reimburse the £5.
